    西沙窝往事(十二)

     
        童年的乐趣很多。
       在我记忆中最深的还有掏麻雀喂“老鹞子”。“老鹞子”学名叫“鸢”,即“老鹰”。“常见于山村林地,城郊居民点附近,它的眼睛构造非常独特,能看清很远的东西,天气晴朗时经常常时间翱翔于数百米的高空发现猎物时它立刻俯冲突袭...”(《动物世界百科全书》)。因此,它饥饿时经常到村里捉鸡吃。它先在村子上空盘旋,锁定目标后以极快的速度下降,用一双锋利的爪子抓起相当于自己体重的大母鸡,轻松飞起。可怜的母鸡不等明白发生了什么,便成了鹞子的盘中美餐。
       每当老鹞子在村子上空盘旋的时候,村里的老少妇女们便慌忙抄起不管是尿盆子,或垃圾桶,口中高喊:“老鹞子叼小鸡来喽——”,手里“叮咣!叮咣!”敲个不停。这一招很是管用,只见老鹞子来一个鹞子翻身,飞到别处寻找下一个目标去了。其实它并不是怕敲那破尿盆子,而是怕人。
       那一年,羊倌“四爷爷”放羊时捉回一只刚出窝还不善飞的小老鹞子,毛茸茸的看着可爱。我和伙伴喜庆无论如何央求“四爷爷”,他就是不肯给,说:“这玩意害祸人,不能养活”。无奈我们偷了喜庆他大爷半斤老白干(不会被发现的,因为兑了同量的白水)才换到手。从此以后,每天放学或是课间休息,我们便掏麻雀喂它。它的食量越来越大,开始每天吃四五只,后来每天得吃十多只,否则就“喳喳”乱叫。以至放学后没时间采猪草,气得母亲说:“知不定哪一天把它掐死喂狗!”但母亲说归说,在它被饿得“喳喳”叫的时候,母亲有时也捉几只蚂蚱喂它,说:“看饿得怪可怜的”。
       小老鹞子很快就长成了大老鹞子。它能飞到墙上、房上了。有一天,它竟叼回邻居家的一只小鸡崽!母亲训斥道:“可不能再喂养它了!”
       后来,它可以自己出去捕食了,多是田鼠。再后来,它就经常“夜不归宿”,偶尔回来一次,它便蹲在房脊上,半天不肯离去。等家人出来向它打过招呼,它才扇扇翅膀,慢慢飞起......
       以后飞回来的时候就越来越少了。
      
       现如今,已经见不到它们的踪影了,因为已经没有它们的生存空间。
     
       当然,掏麻雀喂鹞子,也是违背自然界的生态平衡规律的。可也许你不知道,那时因麻雀“糟蹋粮食”,属人人捉之、食之的“害鸟”!
       人类是最可笑的!破坏了大自然,生态恶化了,再保护;捕杀、采伐动植物,濒临灭绝了,再人工繁殖...噢这是题外的话了。
